Ross McCormack is reportedly looking to leave Aston Villa permanently this summer and wants to rip up his contract in order to become a free agent, with Sunderland and Rangers linked – and some Villa fans are fuming.

The Express claims the 32-year-old Scotland international is desperate to leave Villa after a dismal two-year spell at Villa Park has seen him join Nottingham Forest and Melbourne City on loan.

The former Leeds United and Fulham star has cost Villa a huge amount of money, joining for £12million and reportedly earning £40,000 a week on the sidelines at Villa Park (Mirror).

TeamTalk have claimed Rangers want to sign the former Ibrox academy product, while League One outfit Sunderland are also keen to take the versatile attacker on loan. But they may have to sign him permanently if McCormack gets his wish.
