Aston Villa claimed yet another victory to strengthen their slim play-off hopes in the Championship.

Aston Villa fans have been left divided on Twitter after Steve Bruce made a surprise selection decision for their clash with Queens Park Rangers picking Leandro Bacuna ahead of Conor Hourihane.
Bacuna had been banned for the previous six games after being sent off in the win over Derby back in February after an incident involving one of the officials.
Hourihane has impressed recently, and given the run that Villa had been on leading up to the clash with the Hoops – they had won six of their last seven games, keeping clean sheets in every victory – it would have surely been a considerable surprise for most Villans supporters when they saw that the Irishman had been left out while Bacuna was recalled.
Villa continued their superb run as a goal from Jonathan Kodjia handed them a 1-0 victory to leave them nine points back of the top six.

Interestingly, Bacuna’s performance left fans incredibly divided on social media. The 25-year-old has endured a mixed campaign, but some supporters were impressed by the energy he brought to the side following his recall, while others felt that he gave away possession too cheaply and criticised Bruce’s decision to make the change.
