Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa face Preston on Wednesday night.

Aston Villa will be desperate to get their Championship promotion hunt back on track against Preston after a disappointing 0-0 draw against Midlands rivals Birmingham on Sunday – and fans believe Mile Jedinak can be the man to inspire their side.
Steve Bruce’s men failed to find a breakthrough on Sunday afternoon as Steve Cotterill’s side held firm at St. Andrews’, despite both Villa and the Blues going close.

Jedinak, 33, came off the bench to replace Robert Snodgrass with 30 minutes still to play, making only his second appearance of the 2017-18 campaign.
The Australia international has featured in just one other game this term as he continues to struggle with a groin problem, but his return could see him finally become available once again.

Villa fans are hopeful that the muscle problem is behind him and want the former Crystal Palace powerhouse to start against Preston, as Bruce looks to pick a side capable of achieving all three points and climbing into fourth.
The Villa Park faithful are almost in complete agreement on Twitter to start Jedinak against Preston, with one fan claiming Villa’s number 15 “was class when he came on” against Birmingham.
