Aston Villa fans appear to be concerned by Steve Bruce’s treatment of James Bree, since the defender joined from Barnsley.
Villa snapped up Bree last January, and the youngster has impressed when given a chance in the first-team.
Although injury halted his progress last term, Bree has still caught the eye when starting.
However, Villa have opted to bring in Ahmed Elmohamady this summer.
And some Villa fans are concerned that Elmohamady’s arrival could force Bree out of Bruce’s starting line-up.
Bruce is under a considerable amount of pressure to get Villa performing next season, after a disappointing campaign last time around.
Bruce was unable to find the winning formula for the claret and blues last season, and they ended up finishing in mid-table.
Villa are among the favourites for promotion next time around, and if they fall short again Bruce’s position is sure to be questioned by supporters at Villa Park.
