Aston Villa and Everton told to pay £40m for English winger

Aston Villa and Everton are among the clubs interested in signing Dwight McNeil from Burnley in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.

The British tabloid has claimed that Crystal Palace are also monitoring the Burnley winger.

Burnley are open to selling McNeil, but the Premier League club want as much as £40 million as transfer fee for the 22-year-old.

Dwight McNeil to Aston Villa or Everton?

Both Villa and Everton were linked with McNeil in the summer of 2021.

And we do not find it a surprise that the Villans and the Toffees are keen on the youngster now.

Leaving Burnley for Everton or Villa would be a step up for McNeil.

Both Everton and Villa are bigger and more ambitious clubs than Burnley.

A move to the Toffees or the Villans would indicate a progress in his career for the winger.
