Aston Villa have been linked with the Hull City right-back.

With Alan Hutton set to be offered a new contract and James Bree already at the club, signing a right-back should not be on Steve Bruce’s list of priorities, if Villa remain in the Championship.

And if the claret and blues are promoted, then Villa are likely to need better than Odubajo.
The former Leyton Orient man has shown a great deal of promise, but he is now 24 and still recovering from a serious injury.
There is no guarantees that Odubajo would return to the same level as before his injury problem.

And Villa would be much better off looking elsewhere, than taking a risk on the Hull man.
Villa’s options at right-back are already perfectly satisfactory for a Championship side, and if Bruce’s side do earn promotion, Odubajo simply wouldn’t be enough of an upgrade to prove a worthwhile addition to their squad.
