Aston Villa take on Leeds United in the Championship this evening.
Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton has told the Birmingham Mail that he thinks tonight’s clash with Leeds United will be great for neutrals and both sets of supporters.
Villa head into tonight’s game with Leeds having beaten Burton Albion 2-1 on Monday afternoon, meaning it’s three wins in the last four for Steve Bruce’s men.
Opponents Leeds are in even better form though, as their 4-1 away win at Preston North End on Monday handed them an eighth victory in the last ten games, with Garry Monk’s men looking almost unstoppable right now.

Tonight’s meeting sees Villa and Leeds face off again, just four weeks after they met at Elland Road, with goals from Kemar Roofe and Chris Wood handing Leeds a 2-0 victory.
Villa will subsequently be looking for revenge tonight, and right back Alan Hutton – in line to start this evening – has commented on the fixture.
Aston Villa’s Alan Hutton looks dejected
Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, the defender admitted that losing to Leeds was a tough defeat to take, but he really enjoyed playing at Leeds’ famous Elland Road home, as it’s one of the division’s biggest crowds and best atmospheres.
Hutton noted that Leeds will subsequently enjoy heading to Villa Park, but tonight gives Villa a chance to retaliate, having been edged out by Monk’s side earlier this month.
The Scot suggested that Leeds are a ‘massive club’, and thinks that both sets of supporters, as well as neutrals, will enjoy tonight’s Championship encounter.
“That was a tough one to take [Leeds defeat]. I really enjoyed going and playing at Elland Road so I’m pretty sure they’re going to enjoy this return fixture,” said Hutton. “It’s a chance for us to put our wrong, right and get the victory.”
“They’re a big team, they’re a massive club and obviously want to get to the Premier League just as much as us, so I’d imagine it would be a great game for the neutral as well as both sets of supporters,” he added.
