The Villa third kit has been met with mostly a negative reaction amongst Villa Park fans but some claret and blue legends liked it.

A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the club’s new third kit, which was unveiled on Tuesday afternoon.
Sportswear brand Kappa was announced as Villa’s kit partner over the summer, taking over from local fashion brand LUKE 1977, and their home and away kits were revealed in July.
While the home kit is a standard claret body and light blue sleeves, and the away number is pale blue with claret trim and white diagonal pinstripes, the third kit is considerably different.
As per Villa’s official website, the new shirt is based on the 1993-94 and 1994-95 away kit with green and black as the prominent colours, alongside a red accent.
While there is no release date as of yet, Villa have stated that they will don the kit when they face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in late October.
The kit, a “new modern take on a vintage classic”, has been modelled by a number of iconic players from the mid-1990s including Gordon Cowans, Shaun Teale, Tony Daley, Ian Taylor and Bryan Small.
Reaction amongst the Villa fanbase has been mixed but more tending towards the negative, with some of the social media comments below:
Meanwhile, some of the Villa legends who modelled the kit could not sing its praises highly enough on Twitter:
