Bristol City have been charged for the conduct of their players in their Championship loss at Aston Villa.

A number of Robins players surrounded referee Scott Duncan when the hosts were awarded a penalty early in the second half for a Jack Hunt foul on Conor Hourihane.
Tammy Abraham successfully converted the controversially awarded spot kick to give Villa the lead with his 24th of the season.
Hourihane then grabbed a goal of his own on 66 minutes when he latched on to Anwar El Ghazi’s pass in the box to slam a first-time finish beyond the reach of City keeper Max O’Leary.
The Robins remained in the game right until the end after Famara Diedhiou’s acrobatic finish with 17 minutes left, but ultimately Villa would hold on for an eighth consecutive win.
“Bristol City FC has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E20 following the EFL Championship fixture against Aston Villa on Saturday,” said an FA statement released on Wednesday.
“It is alleged the club failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 53rd minute.”

Bristol City, who are already facing a £5,000 fine having had six players booked during the game, have until Tuesday 23 April to respond.
Villa’s victory took them four points clear of City, who sixth in the Championship table but have a game in hand on both Dean Smith’s side and seventh-placed Middlesbrough.
