Aston Villa allowed Jordan Amavi to move to Marseille in the summer transfer window.

Amavi was loaned out to Marseille, and will join the French club permanently next summer.
And Bruce does not want to lose any more key players in January.
He said: “What I don’t want to do is sell anybody who is a value to us right now.

“In the summer we had to get rid of players like Jordan Amavi, for instance.
“In an ideal world we didn’t want Amavi to go but the offer was too good for us and it enabled us to do what we needed to do.
“It’s not easy with FFP.”
Villa are now going well in the Championship, and Bruce will not want to risk derailing his side’s promotion push by offloading any of their star players.
The claret and blues are currently in fourth place in the Championship standings, and there are hopes that they could claim a top two spot by the end of the season.

Bruce’s side have been one of the form sides in the second tier over recent weeks, with their performances highly impressive.
Villa are now looking to add to their squad, rather than lose quality in the January transfer window.
Bruce’s men are next in action later this evening, when they take on Leeds United.
