Aston Villa are set to take on Leeds United at Villa Park later this evening.
Steve Bruce has told Aston Villa’s official website that he believes Leeds United currently have the strongest squad they have had in years.
The claret and blues are set to take on Leeds this evening at Villa Park, with Garry Monk’s side in excellent form.
The Whites are currently in fifth place in the Championship table, and Bruce is expecting his Villa side to face a very tough test if they are to pick up the three points.
“To beat Leeds, who are confident – and they are a very good side, the best I have seen for a few years – will be a big challenge but one we’re up for,” Bruce said.
“They are playing well – and they have just won away from home again in their last game. It will be a tough assignment.”
Both Villa and Leeds head into this evening’s games on the back of victories.
Villa beat Burton Albion on Boxing Day, while Leeds comfortably got past Preston North End in their latest outing.
The match will be important to both side’s, as they look to build on their promising form of late.
Villa are desperate to catch up with the top six, and a victory tonight would move them to within three points of the play off spots.
Leeds, meanwhile, would move up to third place in the Championship table if they could pick up the three points.
