Nathan Baker has come into Aston Villa’s first-team recently.
Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has told the Birmingham Mail that Nathan Baker has been excellent ever since he took charge.
Baker has stepped into Villa’s defence in recent weeks, and he has impressed with his performances.
The 25-year-old has become an integral part of Villa’s team, but he did have to be taken off injured in the claret and blues’ most recent match.

Baker was withdrawn at half-time during Villa’s 3-1 victory over Cardiff City, and it is not yet known how long the central defender will be sidelined for.
Bruce will certainly be hoping that Baker is not kept out for long, as he has been impressed by the powerful defender’s showings during his initial time in charge.
Bruce said: “Bakes (Nathan Baker) has had a really smashing six weeks, but got injured at half-time.”

Despite Baker’s fitness problem, Villa still got a victory against Cardiff after putting in a commanding performance.
The Villans stormed to a 3-1 success to continue their impressive form since Bruce took charge.
Villa are now in 11th place in the Championship table, and they are only four points away from the play off places.
