Aston Villa are due to face Brentford tonight, as Steve Bruce’s side look to continue their unbeaten start.
Nyland only arrived at Villa this summer, and he made an error last weekend, in Bruce’s side’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town.
There were suggestions that Nyland could miss out on playing for Villa this evening, when they take on Brentford.
However, Bruce intends to stick by the summer signing, as he wants to give the stopper a chance to make up for his mistake.
He said: He’s made a wrong choice. He thought he could come and get it.
“The one thing he will learn in England very quickly is the physicality.
“You don’t get it so much abroad so you can’t always jump through people and win the challenges.
“He’s made a mistake, but he has good experience to deal with it.
“We’ll move on with him on Wednesday.”
Nyland is in competition with two other senior goalkeepers at Villa in the shape of Mark Bunn and Andre Moreira.
Moreira was also brought in this summer, and saved a penalty on debut in the League Cup, but Nyland appears to be in favour at the moment.
Villa are currently unbeaten in their first three Championship matches of the season, and look among the favourites to earn promotion again.
