The Villa Park supremo is not planning wholesale changes at the club.
Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has been commenting on the club’s transfer plans for January and insists that there will not be wholesale changes at the club.
The new Villa boss has overseen an upturn in fortunes with the squad he inherited from Roberto Di Matteo but it is expected that he will consider making some changes to the first-team in the winter.

But, as quoted by the Express and Star, Bruce has made it clear that he has no wish to make big moves in the transfer window. Instead he suggested one or two might leave the club, with a similar amount heading to Villa Park:
“If there’s somebody in January that can make us better, we are prepared to act. There won’t be wholesale changes because we’ve just seen that in the summer.
“It’s inevitable that one or two will come in and one or two will go out, but I wouldn’t envisage any more than that.”

Aston Villa spent big in the summer in a bid to rebuild the club and earn an immediate return to the Premier League. Many of those summer signings originally struggled but have begun to find some form under the guidance of new manager Bruce.
Until the defeat against Leeds last weekend Villa were unbeaten under Bruce and will feel they can continue to push up the Championship table with the squad they have.
With one or two tweaks, perhaps the play-offs are not out of sight.
