Jonathan Kodjia, Jordan Ayew and Albert Adomah could all head to Gabon next year.
Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce insists his club will be able to deal with the absence of Jordan Ayew, Jonathan Kodjia and Albert Adomah if the trio all head to the African Cup of Nations next month.
Ayew and Kodjia are certain selections for Ghana and Ivory Coast respectively but Adomah is pushing late for a call-up to the Black Stars squad for the Afcon competition – which is being held in Gabon next year.

Speaking to the Express and Star the Aston Villa boss made it clear that he felt the squad was strong enough to deal with the absence of these three attacking players if they do all head to Gabon:
“We are aware of all situations. I have four weeks to think about the next four weeks and let me worry about that.
“If he (Adomah) gets called up there is nothing I can do about it. It is the form he is in. If it happens I am convinced we have a strong enough squad to cope.”

Whilst it is good to hear Bruce be so confident the trip are all wide options and Villa will surely need to strengthen in that area come the January window.
Jack Grealish and Leandro Bacuna are options, as is youngster Andre Green, but another winger will surely need to be brought in with the Afcon looming.
In fact, they could do with another wide option, regardless of the African Nations exodus.
