Aston Villa are in the midst of a fine run of form following the appointment of Steve Bruce.
The Villans came from behind to beat second from bottom Blackburn Rovers 2-1 yesterday, and new manager Steve Bruce praised his side, highlighting how they are finally beginning to look like a team rather than a group of individuals, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail.
The Midlands outfit have picked up 11 points from the 15 available since Bruce was appointed at the helm at Villa Park, and are now just five points adrift of the play-off spots following their fine run of form.

The former Hull City boss spoke to the Birmingham Mail in the aftermath of Villa’s victory, and explained how the last 30 minutes of the game highlighted how his side are now operating as a team:
“First half we didn’t do enough to win any football match. Second half we started with more energy and a bit of fire. Towards the last half an hour we started to look like a team which is important.”

The international break has undoubtedly come at the wrong time for Villa, who now have to wait until November 18th for their next game – an away trip to second placed Brighton & Hove Albion.
Villa will be itching to get back to action, and if Bruce’s men can continue the way in which they have been applying themselves over the past few weeks, there is no reason why they cannot make a sustained push for promotion to the Premier League.
