John McGinn played well for Aston Villa against Bournemouth at the weekend.

Villa suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bournemouth at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The performance of the Villans left much to be desired, but manager Smith was pleased with what he saw of 24-year-old Scotland international midfielder McGinn.
Smith told Villa’s official website: “I thought John McGinn drove us forward. He played very well.”
Positive performances
McGinn has been very good for Villa in their opening two Premier League games of the season, and he has taken to the top flight of English football like a duck to water.
The 24-year-old midfielder went close twice with superb efforts against Bournemouth, and he scored against Tottenham Hotspur.

For Villa to have a successful season in the Premier League in 2019-20, McGinn has to be very consistent and on top of his game.
During the 2018-19 campaign, the Scotsman made 42 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for Villa, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
