Dean Smith’s Aston Villa will face Sheffield United in the Championship on Friday evening.

Ahead of the game, Villa boss Smith has picked United trio Billy Sharp, David McGoldrick and Gary Madine as three players at the Blades who are doing well.
Smith told Villa’s official website: “They have some very good players, including Billy Sharp who is in the latter stages of his career but going toe to toe with Tammy Abraham in the scoring charts.
“They have David McGoldrick as well who’s done very well. They have Gary Madine.”

Quality footballers
Sharp may be 33 years of age, but the former Leeds United striker is still going strong and is playing well for United at the moment.
The former Southampton striker has made 24 starts and two substitute appearances in the Championship for Villa so far this season, scoring 19 goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
McGoldrick is 31 years of age, but the former Nottingham Forest forward has still scored 11 goals and provided three assists in 24 league starts for the Blades so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.
As for Medine, the 28-year-old striker joined United on loan from Premier League club Cardiff City in the January transfer window.
