Dean Smith has hinted that Aston Villa are already in negotiations with a number of players over January moves to Villa Park.

Villa managed to keep a clean sheet against Swansea City yesterday, as they picked up a 1-0 win at the Liberty Stadium.
But Smith has not been convinced that Villa’s defence is good enough to last the pace.
And the claret and blues boss has hinted that Villa are already well on their way to bringing in new players.
“We were always going to strengthen defensively and we’re still looking to do that,” Smith said.
“We have a few irons in the fire at the moment and we’ll keep those plates spinning to see who we can get in.”

Villa’s defensive inefficiencies have been exposed recently, with Smith’s side’s form dipping.
But the Villans’ win over Swansea yesterday has pushed them back up to the outskirts of the play offs.
Villa are likely to want a new centre-back and a full-back in January, as they look to improve their backline.
Villa have already brought in Lovre Kalinic to improve their goalkeeping options.
