Aston Villa have signed Lovre Kalinic to improve their goalkeeping options.

Kalinic only recently signed for Villa, but he is expected to takeover as the Midlands side’s number one for the rest of the season.
And Smith has been impressed by what he has seen so far from the Croatian international.
Smith said: “He’s settled in really well. He’s been asking me for a few restaurants to go out and eat. He’s settled in really well. He’s a good guy in the dressing room and has a big presence about him. He’s available for selection tomorrow.”
Whether Kalinic will be given the nod for Villa’s FA Cup game against Swansea City remains to be seen.

The claret and blues have recently recalled Jed Steer from his loan spell, and he will provide competition for a place between the sticks.
Villa drew their last match 2-2, with their defensive frailties exposed once again.
Smith will be hoping that Kalinic’s arrival helps to tighten up his side’s defence over the second half of the campaign.
The last time Villa played Swansea they managed to keep a clean-sheet, picking up a 1-0 victory in the league.
