Mikolaj Bieganski wants to move abroad with Aston Villa, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all hot on the teenager’s trail.

The scouting system put in place by clubs in modern football is so extensive that even a teenager without a single senior appearance in his career can find himself at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war even before his 16th birthday.

ESPN reported last week that Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are all chasing 15-year-old Polish talent Mikolaj Bieganski. The young goalkeeper currently represents third division side Skra Czestochowa and is training with the first-team despite not yet making his senior bow.

Bieganski, however, has shone for Poland’s Under-16 side and is also understood to have enjoyed impressive trial periods at United, Spurs and Villa in recent times. Skra also will not stand in his way if an offer from England arises.

And it appears Bieganski himself has his heart set on a move to English shores. Sportowe Fakty reports that the teenager has recently received offers from Polish trio Legia Warsaw, Lech Poznan and Lubin Basin.

Bieganski refused the move, however, as it is his priority to play abroad. And this could be excellent news for Aston Villa, although the Championship side still face a major challenge beating two of the Premier League’s biggest sides to the youth star’s signature.

Tottenham, after all, have proven to be a springboard for countless talented youngsters since Mauricio Pochettino took over in 2014. Dele Alli, Harry Kane, Danny Rose (below) and co are all now established internationals.

Villa counterpart Steve Bruce has given youth a chance in the first-team too, however, with the likes of Keinan Davis, Callum O’Hare and Andre Green making an impact this season.

And Bieganski would be the latest fresh-faced prodigy in an exciting Villa youth team if he made the move to the Midlands.
