Championship flyers West Bromwich Albion reportedly want Blackburn Rovers talisman Bradley Dack, who was linked with Aston Villa in January.

Back in January, Bradley Dack’s price-tag stood at just £4 million.
According to The Sun (22 January, page 60), Aston Villa were keen on the Blackburn Rovers talisman, who was enjoying a fine debut season at Ewood Park in League One.
Nine months later, Dack’s reputation and market value has skyrocketed. These days, the 24-year-old is an established Championship attacker and, according to The Sun (7 October, page 50), West Brom could pay a second-tier record £20 million to bring him to The Hawthorns.
It remains to be seen, however, whether Aston Villa will renew their interest.
With new owners Naseef Sawiris and Wes Edens giving the Midland giants more money to spend after a year of scrimping and saving, manager Dean Smith will surely be given funds to build a team in his image.

And Dack, an intelligent, hard-working and technically gifted footballer, is exactly the sort of player who would fit Smith’s style down to the ground – especially with the likes of Jack Grealish and Yannick Bolasie yet to really make an impact this season.
Aston Villa have spent the last few transfer windows relying largely on short-term loans and cut-price deals. But rivalling local rivals and Championship high-flyers West Brom for a £20 million January deal would perhaps be the statement of intent Villa’s owners need to make.
