The tribute put on by Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers for Graham Taylor shows how beloved he really was.
The former Villa and Wolves boss Graham Taylor passed away last week, and as a result the two clubs combined to put on a lovely tribute for the ex-England manager prior to their game on Saturday. It was a touching moment with all the fans applauding and appreciating the man who did so much for the English game, whatever happened during his tenures with both clubs, showing what an impact he really did make.

Whilst successful in re-building Aston Villa during his first tenure, his second period in charge of the club in addition to his time at Wolves wasn’t considered groundbreaking at the time. Still, no matter what the case, he was fondly though of at all his jobs in one way or another.
That was because despite results, Taylor’s work behind the scenes transcended what took place on the pitch. He had that positive mental attitude that is infectious for a football club, with everyone benefiting from his presence no matter where he went.
From watching Scunthorpe United as a youngster all the way through to his final days with Aston Villa, Taylor’s love of the game never faltered. If anything, it got even stronger as the years went on.
