Former Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has been appointed the new Wolverhampton Wanderers boss.

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the appointment of Paul Lambert as the manager.

Lambert has been appointed the new Wolves boss following the departure of Walter Zenga.

Zenga was dismissed by the Championship club following a run of poor results.

The former Italy international goalkeeper was sacked by the Wanderers after just 87 days in charge of the first team.

Lambert is a very experienced and highly rated manager who knows the Championship inside out.

The former Scotland international midfielder had been without a managerial job since his departure from Blackburn Rovers at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 47-year-old achieved considerable success during his time at Norwich City and Aston Villa.

Wolves, who are aiming to win promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season, are struggling in the Championship at the moment and currently find themselves just three points above the relegation zone.
