Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the Aston Villa starlet.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Aston Villa youngster Andre Green this summer, according to The Mirror.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has already seen the young winger in action after the 17-year-old – who turns 18 next week – came off the bench to make his Aston Villa debut against Spurs last season.

That was one of two Premier League appearances for the Villans and the Lilywhites are “pondering” a bid, say The Mirror.
Green is highly thought of in the West Midlands and it would be a huge blow to lose him. Understandably, Aston Villa fans are desperate to see the starlet remain at Villa Park, while Tottenham fans seem mixed on the speculation.

Aston Villa supporters probably should be worried, though. Under Pochettino, a number of young players have developed into fine footballers and life at White Hart Lane would be hugely tempting for any starlet.
But there is also fierce competition for places and the young winger might be better off staying at Aston Villa until he is good enough to compete for a starting spot at an elite club – if he ever reaches that level.
Green, at the moment, is just potential and there’s a long way to go before English football discovers whether he is the real deal.
