Tammy Abraham has reacted to suffering a horror knee injury that could rule out any possible summer transfers to Unai Emery’s Aston Villa or Sean Dyche’s Everton.
The Roma striker posted on his Instagram that he will be back ‘stronger than ever’ after going off on a stretcher during his side’s 2-1 win over Spezia.
It seems as though Tammy Abraham will now face a spell on the sidelines and possibly be out of action for the rest of 2023, as reported by BBC Sport, as he added on his socials: ‘Thank you for all your messages. I’ll be back soon, stronger than ever.’
It has been a mixed season for Abraham in Italy, with Jose Mourinho’s side securing sixth spot in Serie A, but losing the Europa League final to Sevilla.
Over the course of the season, he scored nine goals in all competitions, including supplying four assists.
Despite that, there was talk about a possible return to the Premier League being on the cards.

ASTON VILLA AND EVERTON’S TRANSFER INTEREST IN ABRAHAM
Well, the duo, if indeed they were keen to take Abraham on board this summer, will have to look elsewhere now.
The former Chelsea player will do well to get back playing for 2023, in fact, his biggest worry now will be the 2024 Euros and trying to make Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
Abraham missed the cut for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and now he will be on the back foot when Southgate selects his goalscorers for the European trip to Germany.
