Aston Villa midfielder has been linked with an exit.

Villa signed Bjarnason from Basel 12 months ago but prior to that he played in Italy for Pescara.
Bjarnason was expected to become a big player for Villa after impressing at Euro 2016 for Iceland, but he has struggled to make a consistent impact under Steve Bruce.

Tuttomercatoweb report that Serie A side SPAL are showing interest in Bjarnason, but there have yet been no bids for the midfielder.
Bjarnason, 29, has made nine league appearances for Villa this season but only two of these have been starts, scoring once.
He also netted in the Carabao Cup, but his most recent appearance came as a starter in a 3-1 FA Cup loss at home to Peterborough. This was his first start since September.
Iceland will feature at the World Cup this summer and it makes sense that Bjarnason will be looking to play regularly ahead of the tournament and would be seeking a move.
