Aston Villa ran out 1-0 winners against Cardiff City in the Championship last night.

Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s hard-fought win over Cardiff last night, and shared what Prince William told him in the dressing room after the game, as quoted by the Express.
Grealish, 22, scored a wonder goal in the 85th minute – one that secured his side all three points against Neil Warnock’s men, and he could not have picked a better night to do it, with the future King in attendance at Villa Park.

Steve Bruce’s men kept alive their hopes of an automatic promotion spot with last night’s victory, and now sit five points behind second placed Fulham, although they have just four games remaining.
Grealish spoke to reporters in the aftermath of last night’s win, and shared the message that Prince William gave to him after his virtuoso performance against the Bluebirds, as quoted by the Express:

“He just came in after the game and spoke to me and said well done. I told him I picked a good game to score a goal like that. He did come in and speak to us all before the game and he said he wants to see me in the England team soon. So hopefully soon, I can get there.”
Next up for Villa is a home game against Leeds United on Friday night, and nothing less than a win will do, if they harbour genuine ambitions of finishing inside the top two this season.
