Aston Villa will face Burton in the Championship clash on Tuesday.

Aston Villa will face Burton Albion in the Championship clash on Tuesday night. The Villans are going through a good run of form, and Steve Bruce will be hoping that his team will carry the momentum forward.

After a stuttering start to the season, Villa are slowly gaining the momentum, and confidence is high in the team after back to back Championship wins against Barnsley and Nottingham Forest.

Villa are on a six-game unbeaten run at the moment, and have jumped to the ninth place in the Championship table, two points off of the top six.

Ahead of the trip to Pirelli Stadium, Conor Hourihane admits that Villa are in confident mood.

The 26-year-old, who has scored five goals in the Championship already, has warned Villa about the potential threat that Burton can cause at their home turf.

However, he said that the two back to back wins have changed the mood of the team, and the fans are buzzing at the moment.

Villa have injury concerns about Henri Lansbury (foot) and Mile Jedinak (groin) after both were absent against Forest.

“Burton away will be tough, they have a good record at home,” said Hourihane, as quoted by Express and Star. “It is a tight pitch, a tight ground. That will be tough.

“I know we had a few draws of late but it breeds an unbeaten run and we take confidence from that.

“Back-to-back wins are huge. It’s got the place buzzing. It’s a big game now on Tuesday and we will be going into that with a lot of confidence behind us. We feel we are slowly getting there.”
