Aston Villa’s Gabriel Agbonlahor has been sidelined for almost three months.

Agbonlahor, 31, has been sidelined for almost three months this season after suffering a calf injury against Brentford on September 9.

The three-time England international had begun the campaign in decent form, scoring once against Hull City as well as laying on as assist against Reading in three games before coming off in just the 19th minute of his fourth appearance.
Now, Agbonlahor could provide manager Steve Bruce a huge boost after he told fans that he has finished rehab and is back in first-team training on Monday, with Villa next in action on Saturday as they play host to Millwall at Villa Park.
The return of Agbonlahor, who has remained at Villa since coming through the ranks and making his debut 11 years ago in March 2006 scoring in a 4-1 loss against Everton at Goodison Park, will come as a huge boost to the Midlands giants.
Bruce has been without Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan as well as Agbonlahor, with Ivory Coast international Kodjia suffering with an ankle problem while Hogan has undergone a stomach operation.
It has seen teenager Keinan Davis lead the line for the Midlands giants, but Agbonlahor’s return could see Villa restore some attacking tenacity and experience in the final third.
