It was a game to forget for Aston Villa on Saturday evening after they recorded a quite lucky goalless draw against Brighton.
After the game, Brighton defender Ben White took to his Instagram and claimed ‘Keeping a clean sheet against this lot is something we can be proud of!’
Tyrone Mings, 27, responded in the comments section to White’s Instagram post and stated ‘well played mate’.
A Brighton supporter responded to the Villa man’s comments and claimed ‘Stop twerking for a move here’ to which Mings brilliantly responded by saying ‘Too cold down here’.
There’s no doubt that if Villa walked away from the Amex with a 3-0 defeat at the weekend then it would have been deserved.
But with Emiliano Martinez in between the sticks, he is proving to be some signing and perhaps the best goalkeeper in the division on current form.
It was Martinez against Brighton, more than Villa against the Seagulls, but from Dean Smith’s perspective, it’s a point gained given how the game panned out.
Villa haven’t drawn too many matches this season but they managed to pluck one out against the specialists in that area as their charge to finish in the European places continues.
