Jonathan Kodjia’s goal in the fifth minute proved to be the difference between the two teams at Villa Park.
It was Steve Bruce’s side’s fourth successive win in the Championship, and Villa chairman Xia was pleased.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Villa Park on Tuesday evening, hosts Villa had 47% of the possession, took 11 shots of which three were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors QPR had 53% of the possession, took five shots of which one was on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.
Villa are 11th in the Championship table at the moment with 57 points from 40 matches.
