Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has taken to Twitter to celebrate the club’s 1-0 victory over Fulham this afternoon.
Villa picked up just their second league win of the season in midweek with a 2-1 away victory over Reading, and new manager Steve Bruce was looking for another victory today.

With time running out against Fulham at Villa Park, it looked like Villa would have to settle for yet another draw – but with ten minutes to go, Jonathan Kodjia produced an outstanding acrobatic effort to claim all three points in a 1-0 win.
The result means Bruce remains unbeaten since becoming Villa manager earlier this month, as he’s claimed seven points from a possible nine after a draw and two wins.

Now up into 16th place in the Championship table, and lie five points clear of the relegation zone, with Bruce dragging the club away from the bottom three.
After the final whistle, Villa owner Tony Xia took to Twitter to offer his view on the win, thanking the players, staff and fans for the victory.

Xia, who turns 40 on Wednesday, suggested that today’s win was the perfect early birthday present, with the Villa chief clearly in a buoyant mood.
