Speaking on the Official Leeds United Podcast, Luke Ayling has claimed that everyone at Leeds is over the moon for Patrick Bamford.
Bamford has been playing the best football of his career this season at Elland Road, scoring 14 goals and being placed firmly into the conversation surrounding the England squad.
Unfortunately, the striker hasn’t earned his first England cap as of yet, but Ayling says most players at the club believe he should go to the Euros.
“If you ask the boys who they’re most pleased for this year, everyone would say Pat,” Ayling said.
“Everyone knows that he’s got a lot of stick in the past and managers have said he’s not good enough or a silver spoon and all that malarky.
“He’s just come out this year from minute one he’s worked hard, he’s scored goals and he’s been brilliant. He’s got seven games now to get himself on the plane for the Euros, which most of us think he should be, so he’s got seven games to score as many goals as he can to get himself on the plane.”

Everyone at Leeds seems to be buzzing for Bamford, and rightfully so.
When things weren’t going right for the Whites last season, a lot of the blame was placed on the striker’s shoulders, but now he can seemingly do no wrong.
Whether or not Bamford gets in the England squad remains to be seen, but it seems as though his teammates think he’s earned the right to play for his country.
