Obviously, Arsenal pulled off a major coup by signing Gabriel Jesus this past summer.

The Gunners dropped around £45 million on the Brazil international and Mikel Arteta’s side will go into Christmas as top of the Premier League.

If ever there was a statistic to measure Gabriel’s all-round influence at Arsenal, it’s the fact that the North Londoners are top of a table that they finished fifth in last season.

The former Manchester City hitman has clearly helped elevate the Emirates Stadium outfit.

Even in training, Jesus is seemingly a handful. Just ask Jack Grealish.

Speaking to Athletic Club Momento, the England international – a £100 million signing by the Citizens [Sky] – revealed that even behind the scenes Jesus was displaying his ‘frightening’ talent during Pep Guardiola’s training sessions.

He said: “Ask anyone that’s played with him – I know he’s getting more recognition now, but he’s the main man. In training, honestly, he was frightening. I spoke to Saka last month and he was like: ‘Jack, he’s unbelievable’. Jesus’ play is just this mix of proper rawness and skill. He’s a lovely guy, but he’s so hungry and aggressive when he plays.”

One concerning thing about Jesus is the lack of goals.

The South American scored five times in the Premier League in relative quick succession, but he hasn’t scored since the victory over Spurs on October 1.

Thankfully, Arsenal have a lot of goals coming from other areas these days, such as both flanks and central midfield, but sooner or later they’re going to need their number nine to recapture his goalscoring form if Arteta’s side are to sustain a Premier League title challenge, right to the very end.
