West Ham United have sacked Slaven Bilic after dropping into the relegation zone.

Former West Ham United striker Dean Ashton believed the “time is right” for a change at the London Stadium after Slaven Bilic was sacked by the Hammers board.
Bilic, 49, failed to replicate the successes of 2015-16 that saw West Ham finish in a lofty seventh position in the Premier League, struggling to a disappointing 11th place last season before leaving the club in the relegation zone this time around.

West Ham announced the news on their official website, with Bilic being thanked for his hard work at the club. The Croat’s dimissal also sees four of his backroom staff leave the club, in Nikola Jurcevic, Edin Terzic, Julian Dicks and Miljenko Rak.
Posting on his personal Twitter account after hearing Bilic had been sacked, Ashton described the decision as the right time to change the manager but also showed sympathy towards the former Besiktas and Croatia manager.

The Guardian claims former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes will be appointed on a six-month contract in the near future, despite fans’ underwhelming reaction to the news.
The Hammers board will be looking to appoint a successor to Bilic during the international break with the hope that a new boss will be in charge for their Premier League clash against Watford on November 19 at Vicarage Road.
