Chelsea are set to take on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on January 4th.
Ashley Cole has told Sky Sports, during their live coverage of Crystal Palace’s match against Chelsea, which was broadcast on 17th December, that if any team is going to stop Chelsea it may be Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea are due to travel to Spurs on January 4th, in what looks set to be a crucial game in the Premier League title race.
Antonio Conte’s side have become the favourites to win England’s top flight, after a very strong run of form.
Chelsea have picked up some excellent results, to move nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
The Blues have won their last 11 fixtures in succession, and Cole cannot see their run coming to an end any time soon – even with a trip to White Hart Lane on the horizon.
“I’m not too sure,” Cole said, when asked who was going to stop Chelsea. “Going to Spurs is going to be difficult, if there’s any team that could stop them – it could be Spurs. But I think the hunger that Chelsea will have going there, they’re unstoppable at the moment.”
When Chelsea and Spurs met earlier this season, Conte’s men ran out 2-1 winners at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are 13 points clear of Tottenham, as things stand, although they have played a game more than their London rivals.
