Ashley Cole feels Tottenham sorely missed Danny Rose against Chelsea.

Former England and Chelsea left back Ashley Cole has taken to Twitter to note just how much Tottenham missed Danny Rose in Saturday’s defeat to Chelsea.
Spurs travelled to Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening in search of their first away win over Chelsea since February 1990 – but their long wait to beat the Blues on the road goes on.
Tottenham – who have now won just one of their last ten games in all competitions – did take the lead in West London, as Christian Eriksen drove home a superb long-range strike.
However, Chelsea claimed a 2-1 victory as Pedro and Victor Moses struck either side of half time to end Tottenham’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season.
Mauricio Pochettino will be disappointed with how his side couldn’t hold on to their lead, and the result means that Tottenham’s wait for a win at Stamford Bridge will now stretch to 27 years.
Tottenham’s Danny Rose looks dejected
Many felt that Spurs missed Toby Alderweireld in the heart of their defence, and whilst the Belgian is arguably the best central defender in the Premier League, Ashley Cole felt Spurs missed another defender even more.
Left back Danny Rose missed out through suspension, and with Ben Davies out injured, Kevin Wimmer – a centre back by trade – was called in to play at left back, and he was clearly uncomfortable playing there, as he abandoned his position to play at centre back in the build-up to Moses’ winner.

Former England left back Cole subsequently took to Twitter to suggest that Tottenham really missed Rose, as he provides a great attacking threat and would have relished the battle with Chelsea’s right wing back Moses.
Pundit Rodney Marsh also noted that Tottenham were missing Rose, and manager Pochettino will be delighted to have the 26-year-old left back available for next weekend’s game with Swansea City.
