Liverpool may need a new centre-back if Dejan Lovren leaves.

Wolves are showing an interest in signing Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski, report The Times.
This is a potential move which could have Liverpool re-assessing their previous interest in the England international.
The Mirror reported in early 2018 that Liverpool were eyeing a move for Tarkowski. Talksport reported they were quoted £50 million.
The Reds already have the best defence in the Premier League, but may need to recruit an additional centre-back.
This is because Croatia international Dejan Lovren is being lined up for a transfer to AC Milan.
Gianluca di Marzio reports Lovren is a high priority for the Serie A giants.

Given the way Lovren has dropped down the pecking order at Liverpool, it may be fair to the defender to let him move to a club where he will be first choice.
This would leave Liverpool needing to replace him, and the Reds need experience, with Joe Gomez already providing a youthful option.
Tarkowski would be ideal, and with Wolves showing interest, Liverpool could have to make a quick decision.
