Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain are willing to sell Lucas Moura with Spurs interested in bringing the Brazilian to the Premier League

Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal celebrates scoring his sides first goal during the Premier League match between Arsenal and Sunderland at Emirates Stadium on May 16, 2017 in London, England.

Tottenham Hotspur fans may be praying that Alexis Sanchez does leave Arsenal for Manchester United in the coming days.

Not just because it would rob their North London rivals of their most influential and talented player. But because it may put Spurs in pole position to bring one of the world’s most exciting wingers to the Premier League.

PSG’s Lucas Moura has been heavily linked with a move to Man United after falling down the pecking order at PSG this season. Sky Sports report that the Ligue 1 leaders are willing to sell and Lucas himself said after Sunday’s 1-0 win at Nantes that his immediate future is likely to lie in England.

Lucas Moura #7 of Paris Saint-Germain is pursued by Moustapha Seck #27 of AS Roma during the second half at Comerica Park on July 19, 2017 in Detroit, Michigan.

Though if United pull of a sensational coup for Sanchez, do they really need Lucas as well?

Spurs will be hoping not. Because Le 10 Sport stated last week that Tottenham have made an enquiry to bring the Brazilian to North London this monththough PSG’s £35 million price-tag means they would rather a loan deal until the end of the season.

But while Lucas has only featured seven times in all competitions for Les Parisiens this season with Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria all ahead of him in the pecking order, he has the ability, pace and creativity to immediately improve Spurs’ attack.

The prospect of a frontline consisting of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura will get even the most stoic fans’ mouth watering.

And if United sign Sanchez, that could perhaps leave the door open for Spurs to go all out for Lucas.
