Speaking on the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano has shared what he knows about Mohamed Salah and his future plans.

Luckily for Liverpool fans, Romano has some good news to share about Salah.

Indeed, the journalist states that Salah actually has no plans to go to La Liga, despite continuous links to Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent years.

Salah himself actually stated in an interview last year that he’d be open to playing in Spain one day, but it seems as though he’s changed his mind on that front.

What’s been said?

Romano shared what he knows about Salah.

“About Barcelona. From what I understand the plan of Mo Salah, as of today, it not to go to Spain in general. So as of today, he would love to stay in the Premier League and Liverpool are his priority. Today, in March, La Liga is not his priority,” Romano said.

Changed his tune

This time last year, Liverpool fans were getting themselves in a bit of a frenzy due to Salah’s comments about playing in La Liga, but now, Romano is claiming that the attacker doesn’t want such a move.

To be fair, the landscape of the league has changed since then. Real Madrid look to have their next galactico in their sights in Kylian Mbappe, while Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo also seem to be future stars.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s debt means that signing Salah may be impossible for La Blaugrana, while Xavi seems to be building around a young core rather than signing superstars of Salah’s ilk.

If a move to La Liga is off the table, staying at Liverpool would make the most sense for the Egyptian, but what he ends up doing remains to be seen.
