Speaking on The Redmen TV YouTube channel, Goal journalist Neil Jones has shared what he knows about Jeremy Doku amid links to Liverpool.
Doku has been linked to Liverpool recently, and while Jones says he’s a player the Reds have been looking at, a move isn’t imminent.
What’s been said?
Jones was speaking about Liverpool transfers, and inevitably, he was asked about whether or not Liverpool were signing Doku.
“No, no, not at the moment. I think he fits Liverpool, and that’s where a lot of these stories are coming from. Now I’m not saying anyone is making it up,but maybe there’s an agent saying ‘why wouldn’t Liverpool be looking at him’, and I’m sure they have looked at him, but I don’t think it goes any deeper than that at the moment. I don’t see it coming to pass before the end of the Liverpool, but if it did he’s right in the hitting zone in terms of profile of player and potential,” Jones said.
“There’s a lot that makes sense about it, apart from the reality of the situation, as of this morning when I checked they weren’t about to sign Jeremy Doku.”

Be a great signing
Doku may not be an imminent signing, but perhaps he’s a player the Reds should step up their interest in.
Jones says Liverpool have looked at the Belgian, and with the Reds in need of another attacker, he could be the answer.
At the age of just 19, Doku has a lot of room to improve, and with Sadio Mane and Mo Salah set to head off to the African Cup of Nations this season, the Merseyside club could do with a new winger.
This move may not be imminent, but if the recruitment team at Anfield have any sense, they may want to look into signing the teenager.
