Will Swansea City regret loaning Modou Barrow to Leeds United?
Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk in action with Swansea’s Modou Barrow
Leeds United pulled off a coup on transfer deadline day by securing a loan deal for in demand Swansea City winger Modou Barrow.
Despite signing a contract extension last summer, Barrow was told by new boss Paul Clement he did not figure in his plans and was free to leave.
Except now he may need him.
The BBC reported yesterday that first team winger Nathan Dyer has suffered an Achilles injury and is now out of action for the rest of the season.
Swansea are in a relegation battle and short on game changers, and could now regret letting Barrow leave.
Winger Jefferson Montero is out with a torn hamstring and is not expected to return to training until March.

It is unclear whether Swansea have a recall option for Barrow, nor whether they intend to exercise it.
The Gambian winger has had a slow start at Leeds, making only one substitute appearance so far, but the club have high hopes he can make an impact in their promotion battle.
Leeds have already benefitted from Swansea’s decision to sack Garry Monk in 2015, and the deal which saw Kyle Bartley sign on loan for the season.
He has been a key figure in their defence while Swansea have conceded more goals than any other Premier League team.
Now the decision to loan Barrow could be coming back to haunt them too.
