With this in mind, Everton should consider making a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches, in spite of his struggles whilst on loan with Swansea City last season.
The Portuguese star joined Bayern from Benfica in the summer of 2016, for a fee that could eventually rise to £60 million, but he has failed to live up to high expectations.

That isn’t to say that he doesn’t have a lot to offer at the very highest level, however, and perhaps the pressure of joining one of Europe’s superpowers at such a young age was just that little bit too much to handle.
There is no denying the 20-year-old’s talent, though, and a move to Goodison Park could be just what he needs to help reinvigorate his stuttering career.
Sanches possesses exceptional technical ability, and despite his struggles to adapt to life in the Premier League with Swansea last season, he would have learned a lot about himself, and it might just have gone a long way to helping him develop his character.
Bayern are prepared to part ways with the former Benfica ace this summer, according to the Daily Mail, and whilst a move for him would not be without risk for Everton, the potential of what he could bring to the Toffees’ setup might just make that risk one worth taking.
