Andy King raved about Arsenal trio Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Willian and Alexandre Lacazette on Soccer AM on Sky Sports Premier League (11:17am, October 24, 2020).
The former Leicester City midfielder, who is a free agent at the moment after leaving the Foxes at the end of last season, believes that Aubameyang, Willian and Lacazette form a formidable front-three.
King added that playing out from the back suits the three attacking players and the Gunners.
The former Premier League champion further said that no fans at stadiums is also helping Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and the players to continue to play out from the back even when they are trailing.
The Wales international said on Soccer AM on Sky Sports Premier League (11:17am, October 24, 2020): “The other night they were one down, no crowd, they know they are eventually probably going to break them down with their possession rather than the crowd getting edgy and stuff like that.
“Arsenal’s front three this season, Aubameyang, Willian and Lacazette, is probably as good as any. Trying to play out from the back obviously brings the opposition onto them, and that’s going to leave space in behind for the front three with their pace.”
Big players for Arsenal
Aubameyang, Willian and Lacazette are three of the best attacking players in the Premier League, and for the Gunners to finish in the Champions League places , all three will have to be on top of their game throughout the season.
Willian is a very creative player who also scores goals. The Brazilian attacking midfielder scored nine goals and provided seven assists in the league for Chelsea in 2019-20, according to WhoScored.
Aubameyang is arguably the best player at Arsenal and is a proven goalscorer. The Gabon international striker scored 22 goals in the league last season and found the net 22 times in the league in 2018-19, according to WhoScored.
As for Lacazette, the France international is not always guaranteed a place in the starting lineup – he made 22 starts in the league last season, according to WhoScored – but when on form, he is a very good goalscorer. The striker scored 10 goals in the league last season and scored 13 goals in 27 league starts in 2018-19, according to WhoScored.
