Everton’s interest in the Manchester City defender is said to be ‘much more advanced’ than Tottenham Hotspur’s.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are one of four clubs keen on Manchester City defender Tosin Adarabioyo, whose contract expires at the end of this season.
Talks between the promising England Under-19 international and his current employers are said to have reached an impasse, and Everton look set to take advantage, with their interest ‘understood to be much more advanced’.

But given Jan Vertonghen’s injury lay-off, is it time for Spurs to step up their interest?
Yes, Eric Dier, Ben Davies, Kevin Wimmer and Cameron Carter-Vickers can all provide cover in the Belgian’s absence, but while that may seem like a lot of bodies to oust, only the latter pair can really be deemed naturals in Adarabioyo’s position.
Let’s not forget Wimmer and Davies have been linked with moves away from White Hart Lane in recent months, meaning Adarabioyo could quite easily shoot up the pecking order by the start of next season. Besides, adding the Mancunian would limit the likelihood of Mauricio Pochettino’s side becoming stretched during this campaign’s business end.

Few managers and clubs have done as much for the careers of young Englishmen as Pochettino and Tottenham in recent years, and convincing Adarabioyo to move to London’s north should not be too difficult – though Everton cannot be written off for similar reasons.
Were Spurs to miss out on signing the 19-year-old this month, they may not regret it immediately. However, they would be just an injury or sale away from – potentially – a stark realisation.
