Celtic are keen on a midfielder West Bromwich Albion tried to sign a year ago.

Celtic are keen on signing Croatian midfielder Filip Bradaric, report the Daily Record.
The midfielder plays for HNK Rijeka and has two international caps for Croatia.
Celtic’s interest may well alert English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion, who tried unsuccessfully to sign Bradaric last January.
Gianluca Di Marzio reported that the Baggies offered £8.7 million for Bradaric, which was not enough to secure his signature.

This is ominous for Celtic’s chances, as this is a fee above their record spend, and Bradaric’s current contract runs until 2020, after renewing his deal last summer.
West Brom are currently battling to avoid relegation, and defensive midfielder Bradaric could be a smart addition if they still retain interest.
The 26-year-old has scored three goals and provided three assists in 17 appearances this season in Croatia.
Bradaric would be cup tied for the Europa League after playing five games in the competition this season, further decreasing his suitability for Celtic, who face Zenit in the last 32 next month.
With Gregorz Krychowiak struggling to make an impression at the Hawthorns lately, West Brom could be smart to look at Bradaric as an alternative.
