Eintracht Frankfurt are under no pressure to sell Evan N’Dicka despite interest from Premier League giants Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, as reported by the Frankfurter Neue Presse.
Now, the high-flying Eagles do have history when it comes to cashing in on their star players.
Their holy trinity strikeforce of Luka Jovic, Sebastien Haller and Ante Rebic all left the Commerzbank Arena in 2019 after all.
But don’t make the mistake of assuming Frankfurt are willing to listen to offers for every member of their Champions League-chasing squad. Remember, Martin Hinteregger and Filip Kostic were retained last summer despite interest from elsewhere.
And, according to reports emerging today, Frankfurt have no intention of letting one of Germany’s most talented centre-halves walk out the door any time soon either.
The Express claims Arsenal have held talks with N’Dicka’s agents regarding a potential £19 million move to the Emirates.
BILD reports the classy France U21 international has also been watched by Southampton as well as a Tottenham side whose penchant for costly defensive mistakes continues to undermine progress under Jose Mourinho.
But N’Dicka’s departure is far from a foregone conclusion.
FNP reports Frankfurt are under no pressure to sell a man they signed for a bargain £4 million three years ago.
Qualification for the Champions League (Adi Hutter’s side are fourth in the table and two points ahead of Dortmund) will strengthen their hand even further.
