The former Rangers and Holland full-back spent five seasons at Ibrox between 1998 and 2003.
Rangers Arthur Numan celebrates after the game
Ex Rangers man Arthur Numan admits he is looking forward to the return of the Old Firm derby as his former club prepare to face Celtic at Parkhead this Saturday (kick-off 12 noon).
The former Holland international came to Glasgow in the May of 1998 from PSV Eindhoven and went on to make 118 league appearances for the Gers, scoring three goals.
Numan came to Scotland knowing little about the Old Firm match and was given a rude awakening on his derby debut as Celtic ran away as 5-1 winners at Celtic Park.

Despite that result, the 46-year-old Dutchman still considers all the times he played against the Hoops as the high points of his 14 year professional career.
“The atmosphere was unbelievable,” Numan told BBC Sport.
“I had just come back from the World Cup, so I was playing at the highest level against the big teams and against the best players.
“But to be honest, playing in an Old Firm game was still the highlight of my career.
“Nothing can beat the Old Firm and all my friends who came over said it was absolutely fantastic and all wanted to come back, even now.”

Numan will be cheering on Rangers in a top flight Old Firm clash for the first time since the 2012 liquidation and following three promotions in four years – it’s fair to say the clash is long overdue.
The sides have twice met in the Scottish domestic cups with one semi-final win apiece so Saturday’s league match is sure to be as heated as ever and while Celtic remain favourites – it still could go either way.
