West Ham United midfielder Edimilson Fernandes returned to David Moyes’ side first-team at the weekend.

Fernandes came off the substitutes’ bench during West Ham’s match with Southampton at the weekend, and he impressed as the London side picked up a 3-0 victory.
Fernandes has been out for a lengthy period of time with injury this term, but Masuaku thinks that the 21-year-old is ready to step straight back into the Hammers starting line-up.

“Edi was fantastic for us. He is such a good player and he is young, so he still has time to learn,” the £6 million player said.
“As soon as he is given an opportunity, he will always be good, especially in this game when we needed him and he responded.”
Fernandes was required to come on against Southampton, following an injury to Michail Antonio, and the midfielder could now keep his place for the weeks ahead.

West Ham were in fantastic form against the Saints, as they picked up a hugely important victory.
Moyes’ side opened the scoring through Joao Mario, before Marko Arnautovic’s brace sealed the three points.
West Ham are now in 14th place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
